The 8th Xanthomonas Genomics Conference (8XGC)
Bacteria belonging to the genus Xanthomonas cause a variety ofdisease symptoms including necrosis,gummosis and/or vascular orparenchymatous diseases on leaves, stems or fruits of many plants. Damage to fruits and vegetables is often sufficient to cause consider-able loss in yield.
The 8th Xanthomonas Genomics Conference will bring together scientists who are at the forefront of understanding genetics, epidemiology and molecular biology of interactions between Xanthomonas and host plants, and including those researchers who are developing new and effective resistant plant cultivars. It is a venue to highlight the latest discoveries and innovations and connect upstream research with its global application in disease management.
8XGC will allow the gathering of the Xanthomonas community to exchange the most recent discoveries and innovations. The conference will cover five sections of Xanthomonas disease including:
